You take the reins of a team of American investigative journalists during the early stages of the turbulent decade of the 1970s. The Vietnam War, the Pentagon Papers, the Watergate Case... You will work to maintain the prestige and sales of the newspaper while dedicating the necessary resources to complete the investigation of the big story. What is Pulitzer

Pulitzer is played over 8 rounds, divided into 2 phases: Placement and Resolution.

In the Placement phase you will place your Journalists hidden in the different areas of the board to publish exclusives, do work outside the newspaper, document or investigate in the field.

When the players have placed their Journalists the simultaneous phase of Resolution begins. You may flip all the Journalists on the board to show their values and you will check who prevails in each of the zones. In addition, you will try to gather the necessary evidence to advance with the report on your personal investigation board in a unique way never seen before in this type of Eurogames. Each new piece of evidence uncovered will bring you closer to the Pulitzer.

Worker placement game with hidden bids to get better actions of resources and moderate to high player interaction. Theme and mechanic integration is good, but far from perfect. The personal board is an interesting adition but there is a major flaw in this game to my taste. The big error or major flaw is that even if you can try to get clues for your personal board, you could be completely out of the game in round 4 of 8. Not beacuse you get a penalty, but if you dont get at least 5 clues needed for your personal board, you are automatically out of the game. On the other hand, the "houses" for

Muy original, nos metimos completamente en la partida y disfrutamos con las mecánicas, que te hacen pensar bien tus turnos. ¡Además es espectacular! Recomiendo mucho probarlo.

Lo probé en las "XIV jornadas de juegos de mesa" de Sevilla y, aunque en la primera explicación asusta un poco, en cuanto juegas unas rondas le coges el gusto. Debes colocar a tus periodístas (meeples) de manera que obtengas los mejores resultados. Tu estrategia tiene que ir variando a lo largo de la partida. ¡Importante colocar a un periodista de prestigio en la zona de investigación!

A well-crafted and thematic experience! This is a very complete worker placement game with excellent integration between theme and mechanics. You'll send your journalists to different areas of the board to investigate and gather evidence, testimonies, contacts, prestige... The main board is rich and varied, offering multiple strategic paths.
