About the game

What is Gorinto

In Gorinto, the five elements—Earth, Water, Fire, Wind, and Void—call to you with their distinct energies and patterns. Earth burrows steadily, Water spreads and adapts, Fire leaps upward, Wind dances unpredictably, and Void weaves subtly through the spaces in between. Mastering each one is key to unlocking true balance.

Inspired by the ancient Japanese gorintō—a sacred pagoda built from five symbolic shapes representing the elements—this game is more than a contest of points; it is a journey toward understanding.

Players take turns choosing elemental tiles from the Path and placing them into the Mountain, building influence and knowledge through clever selection and strategic foresight. Each element you claim changes the way you’ll collect others, shaping your options and your destiny with every move.

At the end of each round, players earn points based on shifting goals revealed at the game’s start, and final wisdom is measured by your elemental harmony. The one who best aligns with the forces of nature will rise above the rest.
