Pearlbrook es una expansión enfocada a construir unos nuevos objetivos que otorgan montones de puntos. Para ello necesitaremos obtener primero un nuevo recurso, las perlas, explorando la nueva región del tablero que es el río. También nos proporciona nuevos artefactos que nos ayudarán a progresar en la partida y nos proporcionarán puntos al final de la misma. Se podría decir que esta expansión encorseta un poco el juego, ya que despreciar estos nuevos objetivos no es muy inteligente y te ves obligado a intentar completar alguno de ellos.
