What is Rococo

As the biggest event is coming up in just a few weeks, everyone is turning to you with their requests: an elegant coat here, a stunning dress there, or a donation to fund the fireworks at the event. Soon you realize that it’s not just about your dressmaking business anymore — it’s about managing the most prestigious ball of the era…and now it’s time to roc(k)!
Rococo is a Eurostyle board game with an interesting take on deck-building. Each turn you play one of your employee cards and let that employee perform a task: hire a new employee, buy resources, manufacture a coat or dress, or invest in the ball’s decorations. But not every employee is up to every task, so you must choose and lead your employees wisely — especially since each employee grants a unique bonus and some of these bonuses generate prestige points.
After seven rounds, the game ends with the big ball and a final scoring. Then you gain prestige points for certain employee bonuses and for coats and dresses that you rent out to guests at the ball as well as for decorations that you funded. The player who collected the most prestige points wins.

Juego de reglas no muy complicadas, pero con bastante que pensar. Tiene un poco de deck builder y gestión de la mano, mayorías, lotes, etc. Cada jugador tiene unos personajes con los que puede ir haciendo trajes q pueden lucir personalidades luego en el palacio real, otorgando prestigio. También se pueden vender y obtener dinero. Hay tres tipos de personajes, los maestros, los oficiales y los aprendices. Cada uno tiene sus cosas. Además de la acción que te permiten hacer, pueden otorgar un bonus. Hay muchos. Se pueden contratar personajes nuevos y demás. La verdad, es que las reglas no son m
One of the best games i´ve ever played.
A lot of people are very reluctant to this game because of its theme, specially men who are not willing to "make dresses" fo the nobility. For my viewpoint, the theme of this game is more related to history than dresses. Anyway, when you try, you could see this is a simple prejudice. This game is really fantastic, very strategic and thinky. This game combines different mechanics: deck building, placement workers, majority system, resource management, resource purchase, future investment and so on. 2-5 J. (3 mejor). Precioso eurogame que te obliga a tomar infinidad de duras decisiones para lograr tener la mejor puntuación al final de la partida. Realmente sientes que si logras ganar ha sido porque has desarrollado una mejor estrategia que tus rivales. Buena interacción.
