Pagan: Fate of Roanoke is an expandable deduction card game set in the colonial America of 1587.
The essence of this asymmetrical game is a witch's struggle against a witch hunter. As the witch strives to complete a ritual of renaturation, the hunter tries to discover her true identity among nine villagers. Each turn, the two players use their action pawns on active villagers to draw cards, play cards, and gain influence. Each player has their own variable card deck of fifty cards; with these cards, the witch can brew powerful potions, improve their familiar, and cast enchantments and charms, while the witch hunter enlists allies, claim strategic locations, and ruthlessly investigates the villagers.
As the witch, your objective is to collect enough secrets to perform a ritual so potent that the entire region will fall under your spell and Mother Nature will reclaim the island. As the hunter, you gather all the allies and support you can muster to bring the witch to justice before her fatal ritual comes to fruition.
The prototype won the Danish design award Otto at the Fastaval for best game of show in 2018.

El tema me gusta, y me gusta también que, aunque sea un juego de cartas, no todo es tu mazo y este mazo es mejor que el otro y chimpúm, de hecho cuesta bastante rotarlo, con lo cual es más táctico de lo que te sale que estrategico con lo que te has montado. Eso me gusta. Me gustaría que hubiese mazos temáticos predefinidos con las expansiones, porque montar mazos, por desgracia, me da pereza.
Juego asimetrico de enfrentamiento y "deducción" para dos jugadores. Cazador frente a Bruja para llevase la victoria en la tierra de Roanoke. Entrecomillo el apartado de deducción porque solo uno de los jugadores deduce y la mayoría de veces asume que aldeano actúa como la bruja por descarte. Un gran juego para dos jugadores con gestión de acciones y de mano que nos permitirán avanzar en nuestra investigación si eres el cazador y completar un ritual si juegas como la bruja en el que las partidas resultan tensas y emocionantes hasta el final, donde por momentos la balanza de la vitoria parece
Las normas son un poco confusas y dejan varias cosas al aire, pero la verdad que con una sola partida, pinta a juegazo
Muy buen juego para dos.

El mejor juego de enfrentamiento a 2. Tenso a la vez que divertido intentando engañar al rival. Con las expansiones ofrece mucha mas rejugabilidad
