In Kingsburg, players are Lords sent from the King to administer frontier territories.
The game takes place over five years, a total of 20 turns. In every year, there are 3 production seasons for collecting resources, building structures, and training troops. Every fourth turn is the winter, in which all the players must fight an invading army. Each player must face the invaders, so this is not a cooperative game.
The resources to build structures and train troops are collected by influencing the advisers in the King's Council. Players place their influence dice on members of the Council. The player with the lowest influence dice sum will be the first one to choose where to spend his/her influence; this acts as a way of balancing poor dice rolling. Even with a very unlucky roll, a clever player can still come out from the Council with a good number of resources and/or soldiers.
Each adviser on the King's Council will award different resources or allocate soldiers, victory points, and other advantages to the player who was able to influence him/her for the current turn.

Juego familiar de dados. Ambientación medieval.
Curioso juego de gestión de dados + gestión de recursos que consigues con ellos y puedes construir edificios que dan mejoras especiales al juego. Influye en cierta medida la suerte como es lógico, pero sobretodo las decisiones de que casillas caer para conseguir según que recursos, para combinarlos y poder construir o pillar soldados para defenderse de los ataques bárbaros al final de cada año, que se divide en 4 turnos/estaciones. Es entretenido, y fácil de jugar y enseñar. Un 10 para los tipo juegos familiares. Ahora, el juego es caro para lo que tiene, que si me apuras se podría hacer el ju
It's a very enjoyable game, which is very easy to explain even for people who don't play board games a lot. The art is nice and playing time it's just enough.
Too random for be a Eurogame, but still a good eurogame where many games take lead to born.
Es un juego de gestión de recursos en el que las acciones se escogen haciendo combinaciones con una tirada de dados y ubicandolos (solos o en grupos) sobre los consejeros del rey. Aunque tiene dados, el azar está muy controlado. El juego se desarrolla durante 5 años y cada año consta de 8 fases. La última siempre es enfrentarse a un ejército enemigo. Las acciones están encaminadas a ir consiguiendo recursos para construir diversos edificios de tu ciudad e ir preparándote para el combate de final de año.
