About the game

What is Greater Evil: The political bullshit game

Greater Evil is a strategic version of the game “Bullshit,” with a political twist. Players shamelessly pander, lie, call each other liars, and play Presidential Candidates in a reckless fight to win the support of campaign Backers.

Each Backer on the board is susceptible to different kinds of Rhetoric cards, which come in five categories: Promises, Exaggerations, Sweet Talk, Facts, and Lies. Players play Rhetoric cards face down, but announce their play to the table (e.g., "two promises"). You can lie about what you're playing, but be warned: if another player calls you out as a liar, they'll get to steal your cards for themselves.

Presidential Candidate cards such as Asshat, Patriotic Pony, Shit Burger, Politibot 2016, and Jesus Toast can turn the tide. Their special powers can attack your opponents or save yourself.

Win a Backer and collect its points by being the first to play enough Rhetoric cards on it. The player with the most points wins the game.
