What is [sic]

"Truth is stranger than fiction"

[sic] is an adult party game about reality. Each round one player will act as an interviewer and use an [interview card] to ask a journalist-style question on topics like politics, lifestyle, hobbies, and celebrity culture. Each player will then select their funniest [response card], made up of genuine quotes and references taken from real people including politicians, celebrities, influencers, criminals, and historical figures. At the end of the round the interviewer judges the funniest response and awards that player a point. Play to a certain number of points, a set time limit, or just until everyone's thoroughly depressed about the state of modern discourse.

Though the play style is simple, the game has much more to discover. There are special actions, scenarios, and real-life scandals with linked responses to find in the deck, along with multiple ways to play and re-mix the game at home. Every card comes with all the information and context behind the quote or reference, with extra backstory and news sources available by scanning the QR code.
