What is Cyclades
In this latest collaboration between Bruno Cathala and Ludovic Maublanc, players must buy the favor of the gods in their race to be the first player to build two cities in the Ancient Greek island group known as the Cyclades.
Victory requires respect for all the gods - players cannot afford to sacrifice to only one god, but must pay homage to each of five gods in turn. Each turn, the players bid for the favors of the gods, as only one player can have the favor of each god per turn - and each player is also limited to the favor of a single god per turn.
Ares allows the movement of player armies and the building of Fortresses.
Poseidon allows players to move their navies and build Ports.

En este juego encarnaremos a distintas civilizaciones que pelean para tener el control de los territorios con ayuda de distintos dioses y criaturas mitológicas, entrega una premisa y mecanismo atractivo a simple vista, pero que en cuanto a ejecución deja que desear. El sistema de apuestas que implementa para poder ocupar los distintos poderes de los dioses es genial, y el hecho que tengas que usar el poder de todos para poder construir edificios que son necesarios para ganar también lo banco, pero luego al momento del gameplay se hace muy lento y con muy poca interacción en general, ya que sol
It feels like a wargame and a eurogame put together. It works very well and it's pretty fun but sometimes you'll have to plan ahead. You have to do a lot of planning to attack (win a bid to build fleets, and then win another bid to build and army and attack) wich can pause the game a bit. This can be a bit frustrating if you can't manage to win some bids. The Titans expansion pretty much fixes this so I really recommend getting it.

El juego gusta, el problema es que cuando mejor rinde es a 5 jugadores y esa es una cifra que cuesta alcanzar. La fase de subasta esta muy bien y la cosa esta muy reñida hasta el final; nadie se descuelga. Esto tambien provoca que al final gane a quien mejor se le presentan las circunstancias (el que pasaba por alli).

Un mini "wargame-euro" en las Islas griegas, apoyado por una mecánica de apuestas por un dios u otro, donde el elegido dá unas acciones concretas. Ver si aporta cosas nuevas expansiónes, pero son caras. Es un euro de nivel medio, casi familiar, y los componentes y el acabado del juego es precioso. Pero el juego en sí puede quedar un poco soso para algunos, que se esperen más combate u otros elementos, ya que el juego se centra más en las apuestas a los dioses y en las criaturas mitológicas.
