Cuba prior to the revolution: Under turbulent circumstances, the villages of the island strive for independent wealth and influence. Who can buy and sell his products and goods on the domestic market profitably or take in the most on the trading ships? Who can send the right delegate to parliament in order to influence the government legislative process, or erect distilleries, hotels and banks at the right moment to the benefit of his village?
Whoever has accumulated the most victory points in Cuba by the end of the game wins. Players earn victory points by shipping merchandise from the harbor, but also by erecting and using buildings, and by abiding by the law.

Por el momento la obra cumbre de Standler y Rieneck, dos de mis autores favoritos. Jugarlo siempre con expansion. Una muy interesante propuesta de seleccion de roles y gestion de recursos.
Buen juego que mezcla mecánicas de distintos juegos. Le falta un pelÃn de chispa para ser uno de los grandes.
Juegazo Eurogame mezcla de mecácnicas triunfadoras, elección de roles, producción/gestión de recursos con elección de edificios a construir. Mejora y aporta más variedad con la expansión de El presidente. A algunos gusta más que el Puerto Rico, es discutible. Tiene fichas de edificios a lo Caylus

Deep Eurogame, don´t expect to win the very first time and many more, harsh to get the game mechanic but nice to play it.
Fue un gran descubrimiento este juego. Es un juego de selección. Cada jugador dispone de 5 personajes y una finca donde hace sus construcciones y recolecta sus recursos. Durante un turno (se juegan seis), cada jugador va a utilizar cuatro personajes. El quinto va a servir para votar leyes (apoyado por dinero en subasta oculta). El trabajador va a recolectar productos y recursos de tu finca, según su ubicación (recoger todo lo que se encuentre en la fila x y columna y, si su ubicación es x,y).
