"CRUSADE AND REVOLUTION: The Spanish Civil War, 1936-1939" (C&R) is a card-driven point-to-point movement strategic-operational wargame that covers all the Spanish Civil War (1936-1939). Its rules are based on Ted Raicer’s "Paths of Glory".
Each player takes command of one of the sides (Nationalist or Republican), and looks after all the aspects that involve a war: mobilization, recruitment, movement of troops, offensives, construction of defences… There are also historical events that must be taken into consideration, as the foreign military aid, international policy, change of Republican Government, etc.

Lo probamos de la mano de su diseñador en el V encuentro nacional, en Amorebieta (nov 2009). Resultó convincente y Pedro ya está apuntado en preorder. Es seguro que volveremos a jugarlo.
Buena adaptación del sistema de CDG point to point a la Guerra Civil Española. Juego de atacante-defensor (a diferencia de otros del estilo).

Aunque el juego parece muy bueno, no soy nada fan del sistema del Paths of Glory.
My all-time faves are CDG and the Spanish Civil War is my favourite historical event so I had to buy it. The war is very well represented and I really liked how the different stages of the war change the dimensions and focus. I would play it every week.
