Der Fluss (The River) is a mini-expansion for Carcassonne. It adds twelve river tiles. All the familiar landscape elements are also present.
The river tiles are placed first, after that the game continues as normal. No followers may be placed on the river so the scoring is the same as in the basic game.

Decent expansion that gives a good start to the game
Una mini expansión de las primeras que conocí y en sí es buena,aunque me quedo jugando "Carcassonne clásico"
I can't tell you why, but I don't like the river too much. While it adds to the scenery of the city it often also adds a lot of gaps. I just love a city without the gaps which is why I'm not always playing with the river (but sometimes I do).
