What the community says about Carcassonne: Safari
It maintains the basics of Carcassonne (obviously, never touch what works), but changes scoring of paths and forests (castles), adds the water tiles with animals (this is interesting), and includes two cars that at first seemed not useful, but in the end I found the quite interesting. The art is really nice, and the game is a good alternative.
