What is Amon Ra
Everyone knows of the pyramids on the Nile — eternal monuments of a powerful and beautiful culture that can still take our breath away. The players (leaders of a royal Egyptian family) choose their sites, build their pyramids, and thank Amun-Re and the other gods for their bounty.
In Amun-Re, each pharaoh wants to build the most pyramids. To accomplish this, they must first acquire a province where they can trade and farm. With their profits, they can buy new provinces and building-stones to erect pyramids. For all their actions players must make clever use of their power cards, and always offer appropriate sacrifices to Amun-Re.

Played mostly on SpielbyWeb. On that environment it is the best game I've played, because it allows you to open the game and decide at first glance.

Un gran juego que mezcla mecánicas de mayorías, gestión de recursos y subastas. Su única pega: es muy frío.
1 partida a 5, sensación rara tras hacer las apuestas simples y luego todo sea optimizar la economía para comprar trabajadores, piramides y cartas... y la ofrenda. Demasiado azar con las cartas, y muy poca interacción. Me ha dejado algo frío, como siempre pasa con los juegos de este autor, y eso que éste junto con el tigris, se pueden pasar por aceptables.
Un diseño de los mejores de Knizia que, una vez más, está ambientado en una civilización antigua cualquiera. El diseño ofrece cantidad de opciones estratégicas: elegir las provincias que te gustaría quedarte en la subasta, ir a por granjeros (que dan dinero) o ir a por pirámides (que dan PV´s), además de las jugadas "chupi" que dan las cartas. Añade a todo esto la gracia que otorgan los dos tipos de subasta: una con incrementos forzados (1,3,6,10...) y otra "ciega" que permite obtener recursos por poco dinero además de determinar cuánto produce tu provincia. Extraordinario juego, con un sistema de subasta original. El problema es que lo veo que es para 5 jugadores, se queda algo cojo con otro número de jugadores.
