The 17th century was not an easy time to be a farmer.
Players begin the game with two family members and can grow their families over the course of the game. This allows them more actions but remember you have to grow more food to feed your family as it grows! Feeding your family is a special kind of challenge and players will plant grain and vegetables while supplementing their food supply with sheep, wild boar and cattle. Guide your family to wealth, health and prosperity and you will win the game.

My favorite relax game SOLD => prefert to play fiels of arle a 2-3 players.. and feast for odin at 3-4 players.
A nice improvement to the game, but this euro aged hardly since it´s abit difficult to new players to get.
If u never had played this game, with this version is enough for enjoy.
This was my first euro game and while the rulebook is kinda bad (would recommend watching a video to learn instead), the mechanics are great, the game is really tight and tense, you always have to be careful with what you do (specially when paying food). It scales really well for all player counts. It has amazing replay value with the cards and it has lasted with us for years and we still play it on occasions, highly recommended if you want a highly strategic, tense and punishing euro game.
It is known that Agricola is the “father” of the eurogames because it was one of the first (or the first) games to implement the mechanism of the worker placement and the resources management in a strategic way. Having said that, Agricola is a sheer eurogame where we are farmers struggle for surviving in the harshness of the 17th century. The principal mechanism is the worker placement combines with the benefits which cards can give. I don’t consider this game as fiddly as people do. Personally speaking, it is not the hardness to learn how the game works, it’s more about how to manage to survi
