Better than Pantheon. Feels more integrated and not as a mini-game out of the regular flow of the game (same pick-a-card from the available ones), and at the same time opens up victory conditions: if you concentrate on vp you'll struggle more to make it through than in the base game. Just slighly longer (13 more cards in play) and heavier.

Pantheon does a good job in balancing things from the base game, as well as adding an extra layer of "more of the same", giving it more replayability. But Agora twists the game and makes it more interesting by adding the senate and, mainly, a new way to win :O The new majority mechanic, and how the new cards allow you to add cubes there to gain advantages (temporary, since you will only have them if you have a majority in that zone). Also the new conspiracy cards add abilities that provide VERY nice twists. And if your opponent controls all 6 chambers of the senate... she won by political s
