Advertised as a “Dark Fairy Tale for Grownups”, The Teind is a non-collectable card game for 2-5 players that plays in about 90 minutes. Players take the role of 1 of 5 Fairy factions who vie to collect victory points. Players deploy a portion of 80 unique characters to various locations to collect Babyteeth (the game’s currency), kidnap children, summon beast familiars, and discover new glamour upgrades. The combat system uses simultaneous player decisions and a 4-set non-transitive dice set that reflect the character’s attributes of strength, agility, intelligence, and social acumen.
