What is Ngũ Điện: The Fifth Court

Ngũ Điện: The Fifth Court is a thematic, asymmetric two-player game set in the Fifth Court of Buddhist Hell (Thập Điện Diêm Vương). In Ngũ Điện, players take on the roles of damned souls serving as Spirit Detectives to pay off their karmic debts. Sitting opposite one another across a shared timeline, both players compete to dissolve the trauma anchoring trapped spirits while proving their own transformative empathy to earn an auspicious rebirth (Luân Hồi).

Roles:

The Echo of the Past (Cựu Ký Ty): Investigators in these roles operate at the historical origins of each tragedy, seeking to uncover the sources of trauma before the pain hardens into generational curses.
