The Promise
In a merciless and desolate world live Tom and Anna Thumb — no taller than a finger, but with the courage of giants. The siblings roam the land, driven by hunger, ambition, and the hope of earning a few coins. They take on jobs from those who can afford their services — nobles, merchants, and kings — people who, in times of desperation, make foolish promises they later regret. And the two siblings are there to ensure that these promises do not have to be kept.

The Promise is a game for one or two players, where you face a series of battles against increasingly powerful foes. Your goal is to survive five intense fights, grow stronger with each victory, and ultimately confront the final boss in the sixth and last showdown. Use the remains of your defeated enemies to forge new weapons and armor—only then will you be strong enough to endure the final battle. Defeat the final boss, and you've won the game... and with that, you've also broken the promise that started it all.
