What is Swords and Stones

Swords and Stones is a fantasy sandbox/open map tabletop kingdom building wargame. You are chosen to lead your people in the aftermath of a cataclysmic flood that wiped all civilization off the face of the earth.

Oversee and harvest resources, research technologies and upgrades, and grow your small camp in the woods to a mighty kingdom, an island of hope and prosperity in a sea of danger and unknown.

S&S is a complete tabletop sandbox kingdom building wargame experience, where the player has full control over how they play; be it a fast aggressive rush style, or a slow-and-steady defensive build, a highly specialized kingdom, or a multi-purpose general one. The main way to win a game of S&S is either By Sword – where you must defeat/slay all rival Kings and Queens (that represents the players), OR By Stone – where you must build a mighty monument and have it stand for 25 turns to win!
