The side of the card packet displays the name as the "Mickey Mouse Card Game" while the front cover displays the name as the "Mickey Mouse: Educational Card Game" and inside card instruction displays the name as the "Mickey Mouse Number Game".

Most of the cards have either green circles that represent Mickey Mouse, red circles that represent Donald Duck, blue circles that represent Pluto, or yellow circles that represent Goofy.

The game can be played with two to four players. The four-player game can be played with a set of two partners. The game begins with each player being dealt 4 cards. Three cards are placed face up in the middle of a table, although the 3-player game requires five cards to be placed face up in the middle of the table instead of three.
