What is Disbiotik

Disbiotik is a competitive card game about building and managing your own gut microbiota. The goal is to finish with the healthiest microbiota.

On your turn, you play one card from your hand to build your microbiota, attack an opponent, or use antibiotics to remove infections. After resolving the card’s effect, you draw a new card from the open market to replenish your hand. Food and positive habit cards help you add microorganisms and increase their abundance and diversity, while negative impact cards allow you to infect opponents or disrupt their microbiota.

Balance is fragile. Pathogens reduce your health and often require antibiotics to remove them, which can also eliminate beneficial microorganisms if used carelessly. Choosing when to grow, when to attack, and when to cure is key to success. Special impact cards introduce hand manipulation, defensive reactions, and sudden shifts in momentum.

Once the draw deck and market are exhausted, the game enters its final phase. After a final round, players score health points for abundance and diversity, subtract penalties from pathogens, and add bonus points. The player with the highest health score wins.
