What is Tin Cans & Battlewagons: One Page World War II Naval Battles

General Quarters!

This is a game of World War II naval combat.

To play you will need miniatures for battleships, cruisers and destroyers; a hexagon grid mat; and dice (D4, D6, D8, D10, D12). Each hex is 5 NM and each turn is about 20 minutes.

These rules are designed for quick play and fit on one page. While the rules are streamlined, extensive research and balancing has gone into the vital statistics for warships which provides insights into the tradeoffs made by various navies in the WW2 era. They assume some knowledge about World War 2 abbreviations (such as "USN" for United States Navy, or "BB" for Battleship).
