About the game

What is The Black Pirate's Treasure

Real-time race game published in More Games, Puzzles and Pastimes, published by Odhams Press in 1959.

Rules:

Long ago the Black Pirate buried his ill-gotten gold on Dead Man’s Island where it has lain ever since. You yourself can reach it if you follow the trail taken by the pirate. Any number of persons up to four can take part in the hunt. Start off together, each using an unsharpened pencil (which will not mark the book) and follow the track. The route divides at many points and if you choose the wrong path you must return to the junction and try again. The chances are the same for all, so see if you can be the first to reach the Treasure!
