Soldats de la boue (Soldiers of the Mud) is a supplement for the Au contact miniature skirmish game. This volume focuses on the intense fighting of the Indochina War (1947–1954), pitting the troops of the French Far East Expeditionary Corps (CEFEO) against the communist forces of the Viet Minh.
Often referred to as the forgotten war, the Indochina War was nonetheless a major historical conflict—marking the first phase of post-war decolonization and the first instance of the Cold War turning hot.
For wargamers, this conflict offers a wide variety of engagement types, as both sides deployed everything from small guerrilla units to battalions of regular troops.
Experience the essence of the Au contact rules adapted for the Indochina conflict, featuring numerous rules specific to the Asian theater, new units, and 13 new army lists (8 for the CEFEO and 5 for the Viet Minh) covering the equipment and hardware used in the war. It also includes 10 scenarios, allowing you to play through everything from small-scale commando raids to full-scale pitched battles.
