About the game

What is เสียกรุง (Sia Krung)

Sia Krung (The Fall of Ayutthaya) is a historical hidden role and political strategy board game inspired by the First Fall of Ayutthaya (1569), one of the most significant events in Thai history.

During King Bayinnaung's campaign against the Kingdom of Ayutthaya, Burmese forces surrounded the capital for an extended period. Although the city's fortifications made direct assault difficult, the kingdom ultimately fell after internal political conflict and betrayal weakened its defenses. The game draws inspiration from these historical accounts while presenting them through an original gameplay system.

In Sia Krung, 4–6 players assume the roles of nobles, military commanders, and influential figures responsible for defending the kingdom. Players must cooperate to manage resources, strengthen the city's defenses, and respond to external threats. However, not everyone can be trusted. Hidden among the defenders may be agents secretly working to undermine the kingdom from within.

The game combines hidden roles, bluffing, deduction, negotiation, and resource management. Players must evaluate incomplete information, build alliances, and determine whom they can trust while balancing the needs of the kingdom against their own suspicions.
