What is Runes: The Game

Runes is a quick-to-learn placement and strategy game for 2 to 5 players. Place the stones, so that as many runes as possible match. The better the stones match, the more coins you can discard. If you place golden rune stones, you are rewarded with double number of coins. The first player to discard all their coins wins the game.

But now the rituals come into play. For each black ritual stone you place, you receive one ritual card. You can use rituals at any time, even when it's not your turn. You can use them to gain an advantage or drive your opponents to the brink of "game madness". And if you make a special effort when placing the rune stones and they form a line or circle, you will be rewarded with extra coins.

Runes impresses with simple basic rules, a high degree of variety through a constantly changing playing field and different strategies that lead to winning. In addition, an extra portion of game dynamics through rituals that can be played at ANY TIME.
