In Reckless Recall, players compete in a memory-matching game built around risk and personal disclosure. The game consists of 74 face-down Memory Cards arranged in a grid (37 matching pairs), along with a Bouncer Pawn that blocks one card from being flipped.

What is Reckless Recall

On a turn, a player flips two cards. If they match, the player claims the pair and may either flip an additional pair or move the Bouncer to peek at a different card. If they don't match, the player draws from the Action or Confessional deck, each of which introduces a consequence — ranging from physical challenges to prompts that ask players to share something personal with the group. Additional card categories, including Drink, Sabotage, and Chaos, introduce further variation.

As the game nears its end, the final 10 cards (5 pairs) trigger a Sudden Death phase, in which a mismatch requires drawing two cards instead of one. The player who claims the most pairs by the end of the game wins and assigns a final challenge to another player.

Reckless Recall is intended for players 21 and older; some card effects involve alcohol consumption as an optional consequence for skipping a card.
