What is Pesky Penguins

Pesky Penguins is a fast-paced card game of speed, memory and tactical chaos for three to six players.

Each player takes an army of three penguin characters — one Air, one Land and one Sea — and places them face down in a row, in an order only they know. A golden egg sits in the centre of the table, and each player receives a supply of pebble tokens.

On a turn, the active player draws an action card, plays as many as they wish, and chooses an opponent to challenge. The defender may play one action card in response. The attacker then rolls the battle die, which shows Air, Land or Sea. Both players must flip the penguin matching the result and grab the golden egg before their opponent does. The loser of the battle pays the winner one pebble.

The fifty action cards change the shape of each battle. Confuse swaps two of an opponent's face-down penguins. Injury forces an opponent to play with their non-dominant hand. Ally brings a second player into the battle on the attacker's side, while Royal Rumble pulls the entire table into a free-for-all. Nominate, Steal, Sabotage, Ambush and others allow players to redirect, disrupt or reverse an attack.
