Oops, I Prompted Again is a board game for 3 to 6 players that satirically simulates a life journey where AI serves as the player's primary tool for solving life's many challenges. The game’s setting involves navigating typical life stages, including homework meltdowns, midlife crises, and senior difficulties. The objective is to be the first player to reach or pass the finish line and successfully complete one final senior challenge to reach the retirement home.

What is Oops, I Prompted Again

The core gameplay uses a Roll & Move mechanic, where players advance along a life-stage board using two six-sided dice. The majority of spaces are Challenge Spaces, requiring a player to draw a Challenge Card corresponding to their current life stage (e.g., Childhood, Midlife). These cards present a task, with one example being "Create a poem to impress my crush", that demands a specific AI skill, either Explain, Generate, or Advice, and assigns a difficulty rating from 1 to 10. To attempt the task, the player must select one AI Model Card (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini) from their hand to overcome that specific problem.

Following the AI Model selection, all players are permitted to play Action Cards. The active player may use Boost cards to enhance their chosen AI's skill rating, while opponents may deploy Interference cards to actively sabotage the attempt. The final modified skill rating is compared to the challenge difficulty to determine immediate success or failure, with corresponding effects or penalties applied. Action Cards can be acquired from special fields or as challenge rewards. This competitive loop of challenge, prompting, and sabotage continues until the first player claims the retirement home spot.
