What is Hikma
Hikma is a light strategy board game for 2–6 players set during the height of the Islamic Golden Age. Players step into the roles of prominent scholars in 9th-century Baghdad, navigating the vibrant intellectual movement centered around the legendary House of Wisdom (Bayt al-Hikma) to complete their life's intellectual masterwork.
Throughout the game, players traverse a vast historical map to gather Knowledge Jewels from major cities, compete in intellectual debates, and return to Baghdad to mint their Knowledge into Wisdom Dirhams. As players execute their strategies, dynamic world events unfold around them—offering unique opportunities, hindering movement, and advancing the relentless Mongol invasion marching toward the capital.
The game ends when a scholar successfully collects their 5th Wisdom Dirham, completing their character's life masterwork and securing ultimate victory.
