What is Hand-At-Arms
Hand-At-Arms is a portable solo card game playable fully in hands only. You are a knight embarking on a journey to fulfill quests picked from a book of scenarios. On your way you will upgrade your weapons, defeat monsters and in the end, find and win against the final boss.
The base travel loop of the game is inspired by Loot the Loop and Galdor's Grip, with some new mechanics added, including rearranging the cards, and building up resource lanes to pay action costs. You will be using your card hands to upgrade your color cards and attack black monster cards. Mechanically it means you will be rotating/flipping them through their 3 stages. The objective of each quest is specified in the description - typically, you need to defeat 3 monsters to unlock the final boss and then vanquish it - with the enemies gradually progressing to their more powerful forms during each scenario.
The game comes with a tutorial mission plus two full quests, each of them additionally subdivided into various difficulty levels. A strategy and hints guide is also available for interested players.
