Global War 1939 is a variant of Axis & Allies Global 1940 (Europe 1940 and Pacific 1940 combined), but it uses it's own map that has been completely redesigned showing the world in 1939. While the basic rules are the same, nearly every facet of the game now has added depth making it entirely unique including:
- A D12 combat system
- All new playable powers Canada, UK Far East Command, Communist China, Poland, Dutch, Romania, Finland, Hungary, Bulgaria, Vichy France, and Thailand.
