What is Fix Bayonets
“Board & card game for 2 players. WWI Theme. Abstract skirmish level combat. Man to Man fighting in the Argonne Forest 1918. One player is the defending American Lost Battalion. The other player is the attacking German Stormtroopers. Victory: You win if you kill both of your opponents Officers.”
The game is played on a chessboard or any other 8x8 grid. Miniatures or counters are used to represent the combat units. Each player starts with the following assortment of sixteen units: two Officers, ten Riflemen, two Heavy Weapon Specialists, one Runner, and one Sniper.
A custom deck of cards is central to the play of the game. The players draw a hand of cards from a common deck. Card play determines when units may move and attack. Terrain cards may be used to defeat attack or movement cards.
