What is Fermate Colombo!
Fermate Colombo!has been published in 1992, for the 5th centenary of Columbus' discovery of America. But differently from the other games released in that occasion, this one (whose title means "Stop Columbus!") is a cooperative game in which players have to stop the explorer to prevent the awful consequences of cruel colonization of America.
Player are magicians whose spells can destroy the ship of Columbus, a nice wooden model that advances on the board. If the cards played match enough, a piece is taken away. If the ship is totally destroyed before it reaches the shores of the new continent, the players win all together (no individual score is taken); if not, they all lose.
The game has been re-designed with a new setting and released as "Uagga Uagga!" by Piatnik in 1994.
