What is Corvus
A fast play set of rules for fighting naval battles in the Mediterranean sea in the period 320 to 30BC. It aims to avoid book-keeping in favour of simplicity and playability. Each side plays alternately, moving all of their ships to shear off oars, grapple or ram the enemy, whilst the non-moving player can shoot back. Combat resolution is by a comparison of dice throws, with additional tactical factors. It is designed to be played with miniatures but full colour counters are provided as an alternative.
This was a Society of Ancients subscribers' game but is also available separately.
