Chaosmos: The Temple

The Temple reimagines Chaosmos for up to 6 players. It introduces 3 new aliens, plus a replacement set of all the character boards (now printed on thick tiles). The new, larger card set comes with four unique Traps, and optional cards (from the variant "Project Egg") introduce color-coded Vaults and Keys. Combat is more strategic now, because the order in which you play your cards matters a lot more. 16 new Planet Effect tokens can be introduced and explored as a set – or you can mix them together with the original 16 planet effects (for a total of 32).

What is Chaosmos: The Temple

New Upgrade tiles boost the unique powers of each of the 14 aliens. 48 single-use Favor cards open up new tactical avenues – perfect for a surprise raid on a vault... or to make a quick escape.

The new Temple Clock has slots for 3 random Event cards (with a total of 70 unique, compounding events). When playing with 4–6 players, the Temple Clock also triggers shifting alliances; your Ally tile can be traded and reassigned to a new teammate – and each combination of teammate powers is thematic and unique.

The fold-out board (featuring both a 10-planet and 12-planet side) gets the galaxy onto the table immediately. Finally, the back of the expansion rulebook includes "Speed Setup" – now, you can just shuffle and deal out the entire deck (rather than sorting through it); this gets you playing in about 3 minutes!
