Alafair
In Alafair, you play as one of the five great noble houses or the organized crime association, Nettet (“The Net”). During the game, you and your friends compete for the Eagle Throne using every tool available. You can wage wars on land or at sea, or bring hero cards into play to resolve conflicts in a hero war. To claim the Eagle Throne, you must negotiate and bluff to forge alliances—-but even more importantly, you must know when the time has come to break them.
What is Alafair
In Alafair, you play as one of the five great noble houses or the organized crime association, Nettet (“The Net”). During the game, you and your friends compete for the Eagle Throne using every tool available. You can wage wars on land or at sea, or bring hero cards into play to resolve conflicts in a hero war. To claim the Eagle Throne, you must negotiate and bluff to forge alliances—-but even more importantly, you must know when the time has come to break them.
The game unfolds over seven rounds. Each round begins with players strengthening their forces by buying cards from the marketplace. After the initial purchases, players initiate conflicts by declaring war on another house. The negotiation phase begins, and the scheming starts: threats, bribes, and persuasive deals lead to alliances and betrayals. At the end of the conflict, the cards are revealed, showing who honored their promises-—and who chose to stab their allies in the back. Victory Points and Lights are then awarded.
At the end of each round, the players elect a king to sit on the Eagle Throne for the next round, collecting a Light and valuable riches. Once again, bribes and negotiations take center stage.
During the game, monsters from the Ice Tower will attack you. The players may cooperate to defeat these threats—-or leave rivals to face them alone, weakening them for future conflicts.
