Terms of use

1. Definitions

For the purposes of these Conditions:

  • Meeplay: digital platform operated by Meeplay APP SL, with address in Spain.
  • User: natural person who uses the platform.
  • Organizer: natural or legal person who publishes activities, events or bookings on the platform.
  • Platform: Meeplay web and mobile application.
  • Services: activities offered by Organizers (bookings, tournaments, events, etc.).
  • Stripe: payment services provider used by Meeplay.

2. Purpose

These Conditions govern:

  • access to and use of the Meeplay platform
  • the relationships between Users, Organizers and Meeplay
  • the operation of payments and bookings

Use of the platform implies full acceptance of these conditions.

3. Nature of the platform

Meeplay acts exclusively as: a technological intermediation platform between Users and Organizers.

3.1. Contractual relationship
The service provision contract is entered into directly between the User and the Organizer.
Meeplay is not the service provider and does not act as a seller.
3.2. Scope of Meeplay

Meeplay:

  • facilitates the publication of activities
  • enables the management of bookings
  • enables payment processing

Meeplay does not guarantee:

  • the quality of the service
  • actual availability
  • correct performance by the Organizer
4. User account

The User undertakes to:

  • provide truthful information
  • keep their account confidential
  • use the platform in accordance with the law

5. Organizer account

To operate on the platform, the Organizer must:

  • register correctly
  • complete Stripe Connect onboarding
  • accept the Stripe terms

Meeplay may suspend accounts in the event of:

  • false data
  • legal non-compliance
  • rejection by Stripe

6. Payments on the platform (Stripe Connect)

6.1. Nature of the payment

For bookings, events and registrations:

  • The User pays the Organizer directly
  • The payment is processed through Stripe
  • Meeplay does not hold the funds

6.2. Commissions

Meeplay applies a commission of:

3% on the gross amount of each transaction

Features:

  • it is deducted automatically at payment
  • it is managed via Stripe
  • it is settled at the same time

6.3. Stripe commissions

They are borne by the Organizer. Meeplay does not control such fees.

6.4. VAT and invoicing

The Organizer is solely responsible for:

  • determining the applicable VAT
  • issuing an invoice to the User
  • complying with their tax obligations

Meeplay does not issue the invoice for the service.

6.5. Meeplay invoicing

Meeplay will issue to the Organizer on a monthly basis:

  • an invoice for the commissions

Such invoice:

  • will be informative
  • will be considered automatically paid

6.6. Manual payments

The Organizer may record payments outside the platform:

  • cash
  • bank transfer
  • invitations

In these cases:

  • Meeplay does not take part
  • Meeplay does not charge a commission
  • all responsibility lies with the Organizer

7. Direct payments to Meeplay

7.1. Subscriptions

Meeplay may offer paid plans to Organizers:

  • automatic renewal
  • charging via Stripe

The Organizer may cancel before renewal.

7.2. Donations

Users may make voluntary donations to Meeplay.

  • they do not constitute consideration
  • they do not generate additional rights

Policy:

non-refundable except in the event of a technical error

8. Refunds and cancellations

8.1 Services

Refund conditions are defined by the Organizer.

Meeplay acts as a technical facilitator.

8.2 Refunds
  • may be total or partial
  • are made through the same payment method
8.3 Commissions
  • the Meeplay commission will be adjusted proportionally
8.4 Stripe commissions
  • may not be refundable
  • the cost is borne by the Organizer
8.5 Cancellations
  • confirmed payments → require a refund
  • unconfirmed payments → cancellation at no charge
  • manual payments → outside the platform

9. Disputes and chargebacks

  • The Organizer is responsible for the service
  • Stripe manages disputes

Meeplay may:

  • notify the Organizer
  • pass on associated costs

10. Data protection

Roles:
  • Meeplay → data controller
  • Stripe → data processor
  • Organizer → independent controller

Meeplay does not store card data.

11. Limitation of liability

Meeplay will not be liable for:

  • performance of the service
  • cancellations
  • damages arising from use of the service

Its liability is limited to correct technical operation.

12. Modifications

Meeplay may modify these conditions with:

a minimum notice of 15 days

13. Suspension and termination

Meeplay may suspend accounts for:

  • fraud
  • non-compliance
  • KYC rejection
  • repeated disputes

14. Applicable law

Meeplay–Organizer relationship: Spanish law

Organizer–User relationship: will depend on the organizer.

These terms are subject to Spanish law.

The parties submit to the Courts and Tribunals of Madrid, unless the applicable consumer protection regulations provide for another jurisdiction.
